The daffodils are out in Victoria but it’s still too cold, windy and rainy for either Robert or the tourists. Thus he is not planning to attend Bastion Square until May 3rd (the official opening this year) … unless it miraculously warms up soon! We’ll keep you posted
April 20/21 - Robert changed his mind when the sun came out and it warmed up for two remarkable days. He’s hoping the weatherman is right and April 27/28 will also be warm enough.
Phone us if you are coming to town and miss us at the market … we’re happy to deliver book orders to hotels etc.

‘Lizzie Series’ making a comeback
Posted by: | Comments
With no new books coming this Christmas, fans of bestselling author, J. Robert Whittle, who have read his Victoria Chronicles Trilogy (fans refer to it as the “Loyalty Series”) are seeking out his first series, Lizzie, set in the early 19th century England during
the horrific years of the Napoleonic Wars.
The Lizzie Series is unusual though; it is equally as popular with young teens as it is with adults. It is little-known that the character of Lizzie is a spunky young girl whose personality closely mirrors that of the author as a child when he, too, was an entrepreneur.
It is often said that first-time authors often write about their own experiences … did Robert really follow that pattern? Close friends and acquaintances will admit that Robert is still a strong personality, has an answer for everyone, and lets absolutely nothing intimidate him … even as a 78-year-old! Fans that meet him soon realize that he’s a fascinating man and he certainly writes remarkable books. He uses so many actual characters and situations from his own life you soon want to know more about this interesting author. If this is what you are thinking, you should go take a look at Robert’s Biography … you’ll soon work it out!
