Whitlands Publishing

Whitlands Publishing Ltd. is a book publishing company situated in the beautiful Pacific Northwest at Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The company was formed in December 1998 by the husband and wife team of Joyce Sandilands and J. Robert Whittle as the avenue by which Joyce would publish Robert's books. Several years earlier, during a lengthy recuperation from a knee surgery gone bad, they had discovered Robert's previously unrealized talent for writing.

In mid-1998, with his health problem finally under control and three novels on his computer, Joyce met a professional editor named Deborah Wright whose suggestion to publish and offer of assistance would change their lives. Their first book, Lizzie: Lethal Innocence was that book and ten successful books later and, almost as many years, Deborah is still on their payroll. To the question, why hasn't a large publisher picked them up by now, Joyce replies, "We're so busy keeping up to the demands of our fans and producing our books, we simply haven't had time to ask!
