What's New?
What's coming next from author, J. Robert Whittle?
Copies of Whittle's popular family-style books are now found in scores of North American school libraries and many schools are actually using them as teaching aids (Social Studies/English Lit/History) in their classrooms. We're told that BC Universities and Colleges and many schools in the USA and Canada have listed Lizzie: Lethal Innocence as suggested reading for English Lit. classes and/or Accelerated Reading Classes (AR) and the Victoria Chronicles are used in Canadian and US high school history classes.
Teachers refer to this author's historical novels as "painless history" because children (and adults) are learning so much about the past while enjoying a great read!! Check with your local Public Library or School Librarian. Ask them to order our family-friendly books and please tell your friends about this website. The authors appreciate your support - without which these books would not be possible.
1. Race For A Treasure Date: later in 2008
by J. Robert Whittle and Joyce Sandilands
After the success of Whispers Across Time, Robert and Joyce have again joined forces. During the winter of 2005/6, while again recuperating from surgery, Robert made the decision to stretch his skills. This time one of his main characters travels to England while on vacation from her home in Victoria, BC, meeting a Yorkshire school teacher and his mother, Molly, who are enbroiled in a genealogical mystery concerning one of Molly's ancestors ... a 16th century sea captain. The three end up on an exciting romp to the south of England and Europe as they become more and more embroiled in the mystery and discover there's more to the story than meets the eye! Set in England, Spain, Portugal and Canada, "Treasure" will surely not disappoint Robert's fans as fascinating characters and exotic locations keep you turning the pages as any Whittle novel seems to do. more
Utilizing some well-publicized facts concerning Spanish claims to shipwrecks of old Spanish vessels found internationally, Robert and Joyce weave a delightful tale of old treasure, modern treachery and romance as two conniving factions "Race For A Treasure."
